Graduated from Madras University as a Mechanical Engineer in 1988; went on to complete Masters in Technological Management from BITS in 1992, Pilani; PGDPMIR from MSSW in 1994; and PhD from Dr.MGR University in 2012. Started as, a shop floor Engineer, used various opportunities; became a consultant for a spectrum of industries ranging from Beverages, Batteries, Chemicals, Ceramic Tiles, Leather, Electricity, Mfg, Facilities, IT, ITES, etc. Currently specializes in Industry 4.0 applications & innovations His interest areas include Pedagogy; Market promotions, Customer retention; and Leadership-Management-Organization Development. Dr. Dickson Adom is a researcher in the pluridisciplinary fields of Place Identity History, African Art, Art Installations, and Cultural Anthropology for Biodiversity Conservation, Environmental Sustainability, and Heritage Sites Conservation. He lectures and undertake research activities in the Department of Educational Innovations in Science and Technology, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He also holds an extraordinary researcher position in the School of Economic Sciences, Northwest University, South Africa. Dr. Adom holds a First Class BA, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in African Art and Culture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as well as a Post-Diploma in Education with Distinction from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He studied Egyptian Art History and Archaeology at the Harvard University, U.S.A. and won a scholarship to study Entrepreneurial in African Emerging Economies at the Harvard Business School. He is an expert in the use of traditional knowledge systems and community engagement strategies in nature conservation projects in rural communities. Dr. Adom was recognised as the RUFORUM Young Scientist 2019, a covetous award for honouring young and dynamic scientists in Africa who are extremely promising for their scientific achievements. His benchmark work has been the development of an innovative traditional strategy for biodiversity conservation that engages local communities and utilizes their rich indigenous knowledge systems. His Post Doctoral research at the Leipzeg University in Germany financed by the DAAD with funding from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany, aimed at capacity building in cultural and traditional craft enterprises among host communities in Protected Areas in Ghana to boost ecotourism development. This is a community engagement study to make community members take ownership of PA systems in their regions while supporting conservation interests. For his scholarly and academically rigorous peer review activities for top-ranked publishers and journals such as SAGE Open, Taylor and Francis (African Identities), Springer, Elsevier, and many others, he received the 1% Global Top Reviewer Award from Publons, New Zealand in 2018. He is a certified Publons Academy mentor and a Diamond Level Author at Ezines (U.S.A.). with over sixty journal publications, more than ten book chapters, and over 200 e-articles.

Refugio holds the following degrees on scholarship grants: PhD in Education major in Research & Evaluation from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, in 2004; MA in Education major in Mathematics Education from Western Mindanao State University, Zamboanga City in 1995; & BS in Mathematics from Andres Bonifacio College, Magna Cum Laude in 1987. He is currently an Associate Professor 5 and the Assistant Dean of the College of Teacher Education of Negros Oriental State University, Dumagute City. As a well-trained teacher, he works with the Anambra State Post Primary Service Commission in a prestigious Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS), Onitsha.
